oh there you are
And this one still has life, ladies and gentlemen! (Yes, I’m talking to myself, uh-oh.) There’s no end to this running comebacking, and to always getting surprised that this blog hasn’t expired yet. With that, thank you WordPress — although you’re getting darn slow now it starts to get to my nerves.
Had a good 10K run this morning at the UP ROTC Centennial Run, right in my turf – good ol’ Diliman campus. But they made us tackle the outermost loop of the campus, passing by my favorite ‘heart break hill’ which was a most welcome change.
I clocked in 74 mins and then it dawned on me how much I have lagged behind most of my running friends, in our ‘running career’ - naks! oo me ganun! Three years ago, I was badly aiming for a sub-60min 10K because I was consistently clocking in within the 67-69 mins range. Now I can barely get it at 70.
Trade-offs in life are real. But perhaps one’s love for this sport will never be measured by PRs. A few runners who beget the most of my respect in the running community are what I call ‘purists’ – those who run for the love of the sport itself, and not for anything else.
Dear heavens what am I trying to drive at? Ahm.. you pretty much figure it out from my arguments above. Let’s not state it anymore, it’s a little dyahe, LOL! ;p

It’s been 6months since your last blog post, what inspired you to post a new one? I know it’s hard to train in running consistently when you’re busy with your studies and your work. I hope someday you’ll find time to train your heart out in running and accomplish your sub60minute 10K goal. Good luck!

Is that another leading question, your honor? :p Man that avatar is sooo i2runner, hahaha! Yeah, there’s always a perfect season for everything. For now I’m happy to be able to sneak in some runs and races here and there
